Scotland Bound, Scotland Bound, I Wish Y’all Were Also Scotland Bound”…… (I hope to avoid Gordon Lightfoot litigation for use of “Alberta Bound” lyrics): The best way to prepare for a sennight in bonnie Scotland is to partake in some fine malts prior to boarding. Loch Lomond has just released Original, a retromalt from the prior century. Balblair (Martha’s fav) is an awesome malt from the northern Highlands; let’s taste its 2005 vintage (13-yr) at 46%. The Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran is home to Isle of Arran whisky, which has a nearly cult-like following from some of the LA Scotch Club Members when we discovered it back in 2007. Snacks and heavy bites provided. Pours will be 3/4 oz.
