Whisky Tasting Masterclass with Kami Newton

Join the San Diego Scotch Club for a special whisky tasting masterclass by Scotland’s Kami Newton.

Kami has worked in the whisky industry in Scotland for over 25 years, firstly through events and education, and working with brands such as Glenmorangie, Ardbeg, Glenlivet, and The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Having specialized in leading sensory panels and cask analysis for the last 15 years, Kami shares his insights through The Sensory Advantage, a platform for training whisky industry teams and enthusiasts on the science of flavour and whisky tasting. Kami’s driving passion is to help others to better understand whisky flavour, to remove the boundaries to whisky enjoyment, and bring whisky appreciation into the 21st Century.

Kami will be walking us through a special tasting of bottles supplied by the club. You may also bring a bottle of your own to get the complete tasting profile by Kami.

Scotch Club will be supplying at least four bottles, including two magnificent dead distillery bottlings that we can’t wait to learn more about.
