Old School Scotch – SD

Remember the expression “This ain’t your grandfather’s whisky”? Well, this IS your grandfather’s whisky… the cool Scottish one, not the teetotaler on the other side of the family. We’ll be visiting a huge 12 bottle lineup of whisky that is going to look basic (10 year, 12 year), but this isn’t the scotch you buy down at the Try N’ Save in the year 2025. These are the whiskies on the shelves in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. These are hard to find unless you know a guy, and you know a guy. Yes, there will likely be a lot of rotten corks to deal with, so be patient, you’ll be poured.
As an added bonus (or the opposite, you decide), Andy Smith, the pickled poobah hisself will be in person to present the scotch with minimal energy due to Peatin’ Meetin’ recovery.
We’ll be in CORONADO at the home of Bill Rogers who will be cooking smoked tri-tip, beans, and garlic toast. Dinner included in the price.
