This will be good fun! Our whisky is breaking out of the lock down, so let’s help it escape. The Glenlivet’s Founder’s Reserve is a delightful aperitif-style dram. Hailing from just up the road, Tamdhu is the Speyside delegate in MacLeod’s regional single malt range… it’s a sherry bomb! Ex-patriot Steve Lipp (now living in 90210) bottles Highland Queen 15-Yr for Total Wine. He won’t say what it is; I’m guessing it’s Tomatin. Billy Walker’s GlenAllachie distillery has been winning most of the major awards the past 2 years… you will discover the reason when you taste his 18-year single malt. Our second MacLeod elixir is the famed Smokehead which is from the Island region rather than from Islay (it’s likely Ledaig from Tobermory distillery on Mull). Ardbeg Drum is a 52% ABV release by The Ardbeg Committee.
We hope to see you at Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock… and do bring a friend as “good whisky is made great when shared among friends.” Sláinte!
