This or That?

Bourbon or single malt? Why not three of each? Kilkerran single malt is the excellent whisky made at Glengyle Distillery (1872-1925; resurrected by Hedley Wright, the great-great nephew of William Mitchell, the original owner-operator). Deanston 18-yr is an official bottling bought at the distillery in 2019. Macleod’s is the single malt range bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers; let’s try its Islay edition. Eagle Rare is a lovely 10-yr bourbon from Buffalo Trace.

Next, the last bottle of the 12-year edition of Elijah Craig bourbon.  Its current bottling is a no-age-statement version.  High West Yippee-Ki-Yay is a blend of straight ryes. It’s a multi-award winner.
