Day Drinking with Ollie: The Single Malts of Scotland
December 13, 2020 @ 2:00 pm
2pm PACIFIC – Zoom
Over the past few years, independent bottler “The Single Malts of Scotland” has established a solid reputation in Europe for the quality of it’s cask selections. Earlier this year they began bringing their whiskies directly to the U.S. And now, thanks to our friends at JVS Imports, the Orange County Scotch Club will be among the first to taste the whiskies of their second U.S. Release.
Even better, we’ll have Oliver Chilton, Head Blender for SMoS parent company Elixir Distillers, live from London to guide us thru their five newest offerings.
But wait, there’s more! As a bonus sixth selection we’ll also be tasting Elixir Distiller’s Black Tot Rum. This fine blended Caribbean rum was created to commemorate Black Tot Day, that dark day in 1970 when sailors in the Royal Navy were issued their final daily ration of rum.
Each participant will receive a set of six numbered one ounce samples. Their identities will be revealed at the Zoom meeting (and only at the meeting). Attendees will also receive a discount code for 10% off purchase of any of these bottles at The Mixing Glass in Costa Mesa.
