Bourbon which is a good 100-proof bourbon and Masterson’s Canadian Rye at 90-proof. In the
Cognac category, let’s try the hidden gem known as Augier Le Singulier, from Pernod-Ricard.
From the European duty-free stores (not available in the US), we will taste the Hennessy Pure
White, an unaged cognac that is allocated due to its popularity on the continent. Moving to the
Rum category, Ron del Barrilito Three Stars is my selection from Puerto Rico whereas Havana
Club Cuban Rum (not available in the US) got the nob as our Big Island rum choice. Our final
category in Whisky and, specifically, Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Aberlour 12-Year is an
approachable dram in the aperitif or ‘tweener style. Bowmore 10-Year is a moderately peated
single malt aged in Oloroso sherry casks. This expression is called ‘Dark & Intense’ and is
available exclusively in the European and Mexican, Central/South American duty-free stores. So,
do drop by Scottish Tobacco and bring a friend as ‘Good spirits and cigars are made great when
