SUMMARY:Springbank Fall Break
DESCRIPTION:Springbank Spring Fall Break!  Woohoo!  One of Scotch Club’s favorite events is finally coming to Denver. \nTHE Springbank? Yes\, it is here! Currently one of the most hyped distilleries in Scotland\, and for good reason (it tastes really good). \nStores have a heck of a time trying to get any\, and these bottles are notoriously difficult to find. But that problem will be solved for Denver Scotch Club on one magical night. \n  \nSpecial guest Andrew Wallace\, sales and marketing executive of Springbank’s parent company J. & A. Mitchell & Co\, will guide us through an absolutely bonkers line up of 13 glorious scotches. \n  \nAfterwards\, you will have the opportunity to order these insanely hard-to-find\, highly allocated bottles at discounted prices through this event’s retailer Crafted – Wine\, Beer\, and Spirits. No exaggeration\, you can probably purchase in one night\, what took me over a year to hunt in various liquor stores\, and pay less than what I paid. \n  \nJust to avoid any potential confusion with the bottle list\, Springbank distillery produces Hazelburn (unpeated)\, Springbank (peated)\, and Longrow (heavily peated). Kilkerran is produced by Glengyle distillery\, which is owned by the same people that own Springbank distillery\, and is located right by Springbank distillery. This is undoubtedly a very Springbanky event. \nThe Whisky\nCampbeltown LochHazelburn 10yrHazelburn 7yr Sherry WoodSpringbank 10yrSpringbank 15yrSpringbank 15yr Rum WoodSpringbank 6yr duty paid sample Rum Cask\nSpringbank 21yr\nSpringbank 12yr Cask Strength\nSpringbank 5yr 114pf\nLongrow Peated\nKilkerran 12yr\nKilkerran Heavily Peated

SUMMARY:DSC Mystery Malt
DESCRIPTION:Denver Scotch Club proudly presents Thompson Brothers Mystery Malt (series #3). Join us for this super fun event as we taste our way through 8 mystery bottles. \nThompson Brothers are an independent bottler that also operates Dornoch Distillery in Scotland. They started and popularized the mystery malt concept\, which has since seen copycats from others such as Scotch Malt Whisky Society. The first 3 releases of this mystery malt series sold out within an hour\, so it’s no wonder why others are trying to copy it. Yes\, we actually have at least 8 bottles. And yes\, we were up at odd hours of the night\, clicking refresh on the purchase portal\, like we were trying to buy Taylor Swift concert tickets. \nThe format will be one bottle at a time. Casually discuss and enjoy the dram\, which is the main purpose of this event. Brave souls may offer up guesses from a list of possibilities (completely optional) – the table of possibilities is further down in this description. And finally\, we reveal what the whisky is. A great way to be surprised\, delighted\, and perhaps discover something new or unique. \n   \n \n\nThe Whisky\n\n1. ??? 48.5% abv\n2. ??? 48.5% abv\n3. ??? 48.5% abv\n\n4. ??? 48.5% abv\n5. ??? 48.5% abv\n6. ??? 48.5% abv\n7. ??? 48.5% abv\n\n8. ??? 48.5% abv\n\n\n\n\nCharcuterie (meats\,cheese\,nuts\,fruit) included

SUMMARY:Denver SPECtacular
DESCRIPTION:Spec’s Wine and Spirits has been releasing single casks for a long time. The problem is (unless you live in Texas) is that Texas is a no-ship state\, so the other 49 states\, and that’s most of us\, can’t really get these without a Texas friend to help out.  As it so happens\, one of our KANSAS CITY SCOTCH CLUB members is taking trips to Dallas (ahhhh\, what we do for love) and can bring these gems back to Scotch Headquarters via four-tire transport. Well\, let it never be said that Scotch Club won’t abuse true love in the name of true love of a good dram. So… we’re getting some Spec’s Exclusives.  Are you in? \n-Part 1 of a 2 part series-\nThe Whisky\n(All Spec’s Exclusives)\nAuchroisk Signatory Vintage 1996 26yr Bourbon Hogshead 48.9%\nMiltonduff Signatory Vintage 2009 12yr Bourbon Barrel 56.4%\nArchives 00543 Edrington Blend 2001 19yr Sherry Butt 45.9%\nGlenrothes A.D.
