SUMMARY:Ohishi/Fukano with Chris Uhde - five 1oz samples
DESCRIPTION:6PM PACIFIC  – 7pm MOUNTAIN  –  8PM CENTRAL   –  9PM EASTERN  – five 1oz samples \nWe’ll be going to Japan for this tasting (virtually.)  Fukano and Ohishi came to the US recently with the rising tide of Japanese Whisky popularity.    These distilleries use a different grain\, rice\, but it’s still whisky.  It turns out that our old LA Scotch Club OG\, Chris Uhde\, is America’s point of contact for these bottles as VP of Impex.  Chris will be telling us all about these two distilleries and their curious path to our shelves in America.

SUMMARY:BenRiach - To Peat or NOT To Peat - six 1oz minis
DESCRIPTION:In part one of our two part series\, we will explore the dichotomy of BenRiach:  that which is peated vs. that which is not.  We will be matching up three pairs of bottles which would otherwise be the same if not for the peat. \nWe will also be bidding many of these expressions adieu\, as the BenRiach is rebranding its core range.  We’ll be addressing that in part two. \nWe’ll be led by one of our club favorites\, Rory Glasgow\, through the following matchups: \n\nBenRiach 10 vs BenRiach 10 Curiositas\nBenRiach 21 vs BenRiach 21 Temporis\nBenRiach Cask Strength Batch 2 Unpeated  vs BenRiach Cask Strength Batch 2 Peated\n\nThe question has been asked\, and on October 17th\, we will finally know the answer.

SUMMARY:Scotch and Sweets - Glenglassaugh
DESCRIPTION:YOU ARE INVITED to join for a Glenglassaugh virtual tasting featuring 3 top-shelf single malts with Scottish Confection pairings. This MASC event will be led by Amber Aristy\, \nBrown-Forman/Atlanta. Please purchase your tickets ASAP as we only have room for 23 participants. No worries; there will be BenRiach and GlenDronach events in November and December 2020. Our September tasting was great fun! We hope to see you on Zoom! \nGlenglassaugh Evolution – paired with Scottish Tablet \nThe abundant sweetness and creamy mouthfeel of the tablet offsets the sweetness of the Evolution and produces fresh notes of sea breeze and tropical fruits. This is due to the unusually fruity nature of the spirit and the use of fresh Tennessee whiskey casks that impart notes of ripe banana. \nGlenglassaugh Revival – paired with Salted Caramel \nCreating a silky texture on the palate\, this pairing rounds out the edges of the whisky while producing a wave of creamy caramel and toffee brittle notes that give way to espresso coffee and warming vanilla bean\, with subtle hints of sea air on the finish. \nGlenglassaugh Torfa – paired with Peppermint Chocolate Shortbread \nThe buttery notes of shortbread and subtle mint crunch provide a profound effect when paired with our Torfa. The mint leaf is released in a cooling burst as it highlights the blasts of fresh peat\, supplying strong notes of bonfire smoke and fresh sea air that lead to a soft finish of warming vanilla spice. \n*$10.00 surcharge for USPS shipping to out-of-area purchasers. There were only 2 such instances for September 2020 tasting.

SUMMARY:The Chuck Crouch Birthday tasting
DESCRIPTION:  \nIt’s October; It’s Chuck Crouse’s B-Day: To celebrate his 70th birthday (he’s not  old\, he’s just even par)\, I’ve selected 6 of Chuck’s favorite whiskies. Glencadam is da bomb!  I just love this style of whisky\, because it has a unique taste and interesting complexity.  Glenlivet Triple Cask Matured is just the half step in strength that we seek in the #2 slot.  Here’s a lovely dram that is currently missing from its core line-up:  Arran 14-Year.  But there’s no need for us to bemoan its absence: I have a bottle.  Glengoyne is a mellow highlander in its 43-46% ABV typical strength. Even so\, it is a bit of a beast ‘at source’ (cask strength).  There are so fine cask strength ranges available from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society\, Signatory\, Gordon & MacPhail and\, now\, Battlehill.  Unlike the former listed companies\, Battlehill costs $50 a bottle.  These are young CS whiskies\, but they are of fully-matured casks of young whiskies.  We’re going to try Royal Brackla\, an awesome 5-year-old offering at 58% ABV.  Let’s top this one with a lovely dram of Port Charlotte. I hope that you can join us and do bring a friend because good whisky is made great when shared among friends. \n  \nWHISKY MENU:  Schedule Uber \n\nGLENCADAM Single Malt / ‘Origin 1825’ / NAS / 40% ABV / OB / Dist Owner: Angus Dundee Distillers Plc / Highland (Eastern)\nGLENLIVET Single Malt / ‘Triple Cask Matured’ (Distiller’s Reserve range) / NAS / 40% ABV / OB / Dist Owner: Chivas Brothers Ltd. SUMMARY:GlenDronach and Cheese Zoom Tasting
DESCRIPTION:YOU ARE INVITED to join for a virtual GlenDronach tasting featuring 3 top-shelf single malts with gourmet cheese pairings.  This MASC event will be led by Amber Aristy\, Brown-Forman/Atlanta.  Please purchase your tickets ASAP as we only have room for 23 participants. \nSee you on Zoom! \n  \nThe GlenDronach 12 – paired with – Dubliner Cheese (Ireland) \nSweet\, round and creamy; Oranges\, plums\, walnuts\, chocolate\, sherry\, and soft spice oak. \nA hard\, cow milk cheese that is aged anywhere from 12 months to 2 years. The cheese aims to combine the sharpness of a cheddar with the butter sweetness of Parmigiano. This will lend well to the sweet influence of PX and Oloroso maturation\, and floral flavors of GlenDronach 12. \nGlenDronach Portwood – paired with – Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese (Italy) \nSweet\, round and creamy; Oranges\, plums\, walnuts\, chocolate\, sherry\, and soft spice oak. Protected by European law\, Parmigiano must be made in Emilia-Romagna from milk from the surrounding area of Parma and Reggio. The saltiness of the cheese is the perfect accompaniment to bring out the sweet and nuttiness of the Portwood. \nThe GlenDronach 18 Allardice – paired with – Gorgonzola Cheese \nRichly sherried malt is truly unforgettable with sweet aromatics of fudge and muscovado sugar and a taste of rich\, dark and seductive flavors of sweet fruits and allspice. Gorgonzola is traditionally a rich creamy cheese\, but the blue-green ripples add a sharp spicy flavor that provides an excellent contrast to its richness. The taste ranges from mild to sharp\, depending on age. The smoke and rich flavors really draw out the all spice\, sweet fruits and chocolate that the 18 years of aging in Oloroso casks brings to the whisky \n  \nWHISKY MENU: \n\nGLENDRONACH Single Malt / ‘The Original’ / 12-Year / 43% ABV / OB / Dist Owner: BenRiach Dist Co. Ltd. (Brown-Forman Corp./The Brown Family) / Highland (Eastern)\nGLENDRONACH Single Malt / ‘Portwood’ / 10-Year / 46% ABV / NCF / OB / Dist Owner: BenRiach Dist Co. Ltd. (Brown-Forman Corp./The Brown Family) / Highland (Eastern)\n\nGLENDRONACH Single Malt / ‘Allardice’ / 18-Year / 46% ABV / NCF / OB / Dist Owner: BenRiach Dist. Co. Ltd. SUMMARY:Tour de Écosse - the 3 styles
DESCRIPTION:Pop-over for our Pop-up!  I’ve selected three pairs of complementary whiskies in three different styles for our tasting. We’ll begin with Glen Grant (Speyside) Major’s Reserve\, a prototypical aperitif-style dram.  Macleod’s Highland Regional Single Malt (from its Glengoyne distillery) is my favorite bargain dram at $40. Bladnoch Samsara (11-yr) is a double-distilled Lowlander and Glen Garioch Founder’s Reserve Highlander are\, surprisingly\, of a similar astringent whisky style.  We’ll finish up with Talisker (Islands) and Ardbeg (Islay) for a big finish.  Storm is a bold 45.8% ABV maritime malt whereas our Drum is a Committee Release at 52% ABV (finished in a rum cask called a ‘drum’ aka machine or dump puncheon (500L/132USG) made of thick toasted American oak staves.)  We hope to see you at Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock… and do bring a friend as “good whisky is made great when shared among friends.”WHISKY MENU:  6 Single Malts: 1 Lowlands\, 2 Highlands\, 1 Speyside\, I Islands & 1 Islay\n\nGLEN GRANT Single Malt / The Major’s Reserve / NAS / 40% ABV / OB / Dist Owner: Gruppo Campari (Davide Campari-Milano S.p.A.) / Speyside (Rothes)\nMacLEOD’s Single Malt Scotch Whisky / ‘Highland’ / NAS / 43% ABV / IB: Glengoyne Dist / Dist Owner: IMD / Brand Owner: Ian Macleod and Co. Ltd. (Peter J. Russell & Co.) / Highland (Southern)\nBLADNOCH Single Malt / ‘Samsara’ (Bourbon & CA Red Wine Casks) / NAS (11+ yr) / 46.7% ABV / NCF / OB / Dist Owner: Bladnoch Distillery Ltd. (David Prior) / Lowland (Scottish Borders)\nGLEN GARIOCH Single Malt / ‘1797 Founder’s Reserve’ / NAS / 48% ABV / NCF / OB / Dist Owner: Beam Suntory UK Ltd. SUMMARY:Archives Whisky - five 1oz samples
DESCRIPTION:6:30pm PACIFIC  9:30 EASTERN \nWell\, the attendees at the Munros tasting asked for it\, so you’ll get it.  Archives is the independent label sold by the large whisky ratings site\, Whiskybase.  Whiskybase is in the Netherlands and until now we’ve only gotten Archives bottles shipped directly from overseas.  Looks like they are in America now\, so we are going to give them a spin. \nNOTE: This is ABSOLUTELY NOT a bottle split\, it is an event to attend with friends.  If you cannot attend on zoom\, please do not purchase.

SUMMARY:Quest for Whisky with Ed Kohl
DESCRIPTION:Dare to Dram? Our lineup is most promising as the six expressions match up nicely. Heart of Speyside from BenRiach’s is a fine aperitif dram! Glenlivet’s Triple Cask Matured is next. It’s aged in a combo of bourbon\, sherry and refill casks. GlenAllachie 12 is matured in a mixture of virgin oak\, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and is awesome. Yes\, we have been holding out on you: Amrut Naarangi is da bomb. Wolfburn’s Langskip is matured  exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at a generous 58% ABV\, making it a particularly powerfully flavorsome dram. \nAnd\, for a big close\, the Port Askaig: 110-Proof. Hailing from Caol Ila\, possibly the greatest and definitely the largest of Islay’s 9 active distilleries\, PA-110 is bottled at an attention gathering 55% ABV.  We hope that you are able to join us and bring a friend. SUMMARY:Rhum Ron Rum - 3
DESCRIPTION:“Rum: It’s The Spirit of The World: Rum and its close cousins (aguardiente de caña\, arrack\, cachaça\, charanda\, and seco) is produced in more than 150 countries. What is rum? Rum is a spirit that’s distilled either from fermented molasses (or other by-products from sugar refining making) or freshly-pressed sugar cane juice. Because of its base material\, molasses based rums generally have a sweet note and flavors of molasses\, banana and tropical fruit (their complexity is ramped up by aging them in barrels)\, while those made with sugar cane juice (like rhum agricole and Cachaça) have pronounced grassy and vegetal notes. Rum is made in sugar cane producing countries. As Sugar cane and even refined sugar has a limited shelf life\, sugar plantation owners found it profitable to turn their surplus sugar into rum which took up much less space and avoided the shelf life issue. \nWe’ll taste 6 rums of 4 different styles from 5 countries: Barbados\, Cuba\, Fiji\, Trinidad and Tobago\, and Venezuela. SUMMARY:The Munros - Five 1oz samples
DESCRIPTION:Per peer pressure by Cermak and Shah\, SDSC will be doing a little tasting of the Munros K&L (semi) Exclusives.  They’ve only sold 5 so far\, so that’s what we’re doing.  Special thanks to Nim for helping us out with the very sold-out and and popular Ledaig bottle. \nThe price will be $40 for packing and shipping included\, or $30 for pick up in Coronado\, or another non-shipping arrangement. \nFROM K&L: \nThe Munros are Scotland’s tallest peaks\, all over 3000 feet\, named for Sir Hugh Munro\, who first compiled a list of Scotland’s 282 tallest individual mountain peaks. Becoming somewhat of an obsession for the UK’s mountaineering crowd\, the Munros in Scottish culture represent the spirit of adventure and comradery that mountain climbing embodies. This tiny brand of high-quality single malts is bottled by the Glasgow Whiskey Company. Their US importer sadly passed away a few years ago and the stocks languished in a warehouse on the East Coast until one of our trusted suppliers came across them. \n

SUMMARY:Bourbon vs. Scotch
DESCRIPTION:This or That? \nBourbon or single malt? Why not three of each? Kilkerran single malt is the excellent whisky made at Glengyle Distillery (1872-1925; resurrected by Hedley Wright\, the great-great nephew of William Mitchell\, the original owner-operator). Deanston 18-yr is an official bottling bought at the distillery in 2019. Macleod’s is the single malt range bottled by Ian Macleod Distillers; let’s try its Islay edition. Eagle Rare is a lovely 10-yr bourbon from Buffalo Trace. \nNext\, the last bottle of the 12-year edition of Elijah Craig bourbon.  Its current bottling is a no-age-statement version.  High West Yippee-Ki-Yay is a blend of straight ryes. It’s a multi-award winner. \nKender Roman\, R&F Continental Dominican Cigar\, recommended his Golden Edition cigar. You will receive 3 of them! We’re quite confident that the food\, cigar and whisky lineup will afford the partakers an evening to fondly remember. The only thing that we might lack is the pleasure of your good company. SUMMARY:Cigars and Bourbon Bash
DESCRIPTION:“Welcome Back” \nEighteen lucky MASCers participated in our June whisky\, cigar and Greek dinner at the Greek. The event was so warmly received that we’re repeating it with 6 good Bourbons\, 3 GTO Dominican cigars and full Greek dinner. \nElmer T. Lee\, a highly-sought bourbon\, will lead-off our tasting (thanks to Harry @ Juice Box shop). This Texan will pour next 2 Texas Bourbons: Sixth Street 4 yr and Garrison Bros. single barrel. Let’s then taste Old Forester’s straight rye\, a delicious 100-proofer. The featured dram is the new Old Ezra Bourbon\, at 7year and 117 barrel-proof\, a sourced offering from the Lux Row Distillery in Bardstown. Our final whisky is Wild Turkey’s Rare Breed\, a combo of 6-\, 8- and 12-year-old bourbons that’s bottled at 116.8 barrel-proof. I’ve invited GTO-owner Oscar Rodriguez\, M.D.\, to introduce his fine Dominican Republic cigars featuring tobacco grown on his estate there. DESCRIPTION:NOTE:  Time is 6:30pm PACIFIC\, 7:30 MOUNTAIN\, 9:30 EASTERN \nWell\, life is starting more toward normal but it’s not there yet.  We’re going to try something new and fun.  Perhaps your not ready to pack into a tight space with 40 people\, but are you ready to host 3 or 4 friends at your home?  We are going to have at least 1 set for each of the Scotch Clubs around the country.  Sets will contain 3oz. of each scotch to be divided 4 or 5 ways (your choice.) \nYOU\, the buyer will be responsible\, for finding 3 or4 friends (preferably club members) and a site to dram at (doesn’t have to be your home.)  Where you meet\, if/how you social distance\,  how you divvy the scotch and cost\, is all up to you\, but we do need your group to zoom in with rest of the groups and enjoy the presentation by Duncan Taylor’s Peter Currie. \nA little quick math will show this is $20-$25 per head.   Great deal! \n________________________________________________________________ \nPlease DO NOT use the Paypal option for this one.  Use direct credit card option via Stripe. \n________________________________________________________________ \nPER DUNCAN TAYLOR’S WEBSITE: \nOctave Invigorated Whiskies \n\n\nFor upwards of 40 years the team at Duncan Taylor has experimented by maturing whiskies in smaller casks with great success. \n\n\n\nOur research stemmed from the simple premise that there is more wood interaction with whisky over a shorter period of time in a small cask than in a large cask\, therefore allowing a more rapid melding of wood\, air and alcohol. \nAfter a second maturation the octave casks have refined the whisky\, enhancing its hue\, taste\, form and character. The flavour profile is gently expanded\, a little more sophisticated with the commanding presence of a mature\, well-balanced Scotch Whisky. \nThey have become ‘Octave Invigorated™. \nThe Octave Collection is extensive with something for all tastes\, be it a single malt\, a single grain or a blended malt whisky. Featured distilleries include Aultmore\, Bhunnahabhain\, Brackla\, Caol Ila\, Glenallachie\, Glen Moray\, Highland Park\, Miltonduff and Tobermory. \n\n

SUMMARY:Dare to Dram
DESCRIPTION:Dare to Dram? \nOur lineup is most promising as the six expressions matchup nicely. Heart of Speyside from BenRiach’s is a fine aperitif dram! \nGlenlivet’s Triple Cask Matured is next. It’s aged in a combo of bourbon\, sherry and refill casks. \nGlenAllachie 12 is matured in a mixture of virgin oak\, Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and is awesome. \nYes\, we have been holding out on you: Amrut Naarangi is da bomb. Wolfburn’s Langskip is matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks and is bottled at a generous 58% ABV\, making it a particularly powerfully flavorsome dram. \nAnd\, for a big close\, a favorite Port Askaig: 110-Proof. Hailing from Caol Ila\, possibly the greatest and definitely the largest of Islay’s 9 active distilleries\, PA-110 is bottled at an attention gathering 55% ABV. I hope that you are able to join us and bring a friend. Why? Because “good whisky is made great when shared among friends.” \nWHISKY MENU: \n\nBENRIACH Single Malt / ‘Heart of Speyside’ (Classic range) /\nNAS / 40% ABV / OB / Dist Owner: Brown-Forman Scotland Ltd\n(Brown-Forman Corp./The Brown Family) / Speyside (Lossie)\n. SUMMARY:SDSC - Rhum Ron Rum San Diego
DESCRIPTION:-REAL LIFE\, HONEST-TO-GOD\, NON-ONLINE EVENT (PRIVATE RESIDENCE) \nNo\, this won’t be on Zoom.  We will not be doing this online (offline\, non-line\, hmm) \nWe’ll be visiting the land of high proof (AKA Corona-proof) rums. How high? Well the highest got nabbed by TSA for being over HAZMAT. Not a joke. They declared it a fire hazard and confiscated it. \n“Think rum\, think Caribbean\, think 90-degrees” Rum is a spirit that’s distilled either from fermented molasses (a by-product from sugar refining making) or freshly-pressed sugar cane juice. Because of its base material\, molasses-based rums generally have a sweet note and flavors of molasses\, banana and tropical fruit (their complexity is ramped up by aging them in barrels)\, while those made with sugar cane juice (like rhum agricole and Cachaça) have pronounced grassy and vegetal notes. Rum is made in sugar cane producing countries\, especially those in the Caribbean. Very aged versions are generally sipped neat\, while unaged and lesser aged spirits are mixed in classic Tiki and modern cocktails. \nPlantation owners first discovered that molasses fermented into alcohol. Later\, distillation of the alcoholic brew concentrated the alcohol and removed impurities\, producing the first true rums. Tradition suggests that rum first originated on the island of Barbados. \nThis will be at a private home in Coronado Village. Address will be sent to attendees.

SUMMARY:Glenfiddich Distillery Tour and Tasting - seven 1oz samples
DESCRIPTION:The Virtual Clubhouse is going to go on a Virtual Distillery Tour to Scotland\, courtesy of Glenfiddich.  Join us for as Allan Roth takes us to Scotland and the Glenfiddich distillery itself\, and we don’t even have to leave our living room.  Afterwards\, we’ll drink some scotch: \n  \nSPECIAL EVENT BOTTLES \nGlenfiddich 1973 Single Cask No. 9875 33yr \nThis event will include the extremely rare Glenfiddich valued (and costing the club) in the thousands. \n \nGlenfiddich 12 – ’90s version \nThis collectible bottle has been sitting in its bottle for 25 years waiting for… this event.  For fun\, let’s see how the expression has changed over 2 or 3 decades. \nGlenfiddich Cask Sample \nThis unofficial cask sample is from Allan Roth’s collection.  Only he knows what it is. \n  \nCORE RANGE BOTTLES (as described on their website) \nGlenfiddich 12 (current version) \nFlowing in the Valley of the Deer since 1887\, our family’s signature expression is the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky*. \nWith a unique freshness from the same Highland spring water we’ve used since 1887\, its distinctive fruitiness comes from the high cut point William Grant always insisted upon. \nCarefully matured in the finest American oak and European oak sherry casks for at least 12 years\, it is mellowed in oak marrying tuns to create its sweet and subtle oak flavours. \nCreamy with a long\, smooth and mellow finish\, our 12 Year Old is the perfect example of Glenfiddich’s unique Speyside style and is widely proclaimed the best dram in the valley. \nGlenfiddich 15 \nExemplifying our family’s tradition of innovation\, our 15 Year Old expression is created using a technique pioneered by our Malt Master and its warm\, spicy flavours are transformed with the alchemy of the Solera Vat. \nAged in European oak sherry casks and new oak casks\, the whisky is mellowed in our unique Solera Vat\, a large oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal. \nNever emptied\, and kept half full of whiskies since 1998\, our Solera Vat is the culmination of curious minds and the pioneering spirit of our family. It’s also the secret behind this whisky becoming the first 15 year old expression to enter the top ten best selling single malts. \nGlenfiddich The Original  – 1963 Inspired \nInspired by the pioneering spirit of Sandy Grant Gordon\, this historic expression is a recreation of the original 1963 Glenfiddich Straight Malt that started the single malt category. \nOur Malt Master\, Brian Kinsman\, recreated the Original 1963 from our unrivalled collection of aged whiskies with the recipe uncovered from the Glenfiddich family archives. \nWhile most whiskies today mature in oak\, sherry casks were more prominent in 1963. The result\, then and now\, is a spirit contrasting many of our other expressions. \nThe aroma is floral with the hallmark Glenfiddich pear\, followed by lively fruit notes\, biscuity with a soft vanilla oakiness and deliciously dry finish. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Glenfiddich Distillery Tour and Tasting #2
DESCRIPTION:The Virtual Clubhouse is going to go on a Virtual Distillery Tour to Scotland\, courtesy of Glenfiddich.  Join us for the higher-end version of this event on June 11th as Allan Roth takes us to Scotland and the Glenfiddich distillery itself\, and we don’t even have to leave our living room.  Afterwards\, we’ll drink some scotch: \n  \nSPECIAL EVENT BOTTLES \nGlenfiddich 21yr Gran Reserva Cuban Cask \nThis is the older version of the 21yr that no longer uses “Cuban” in it because that drew too many issues from US authorities. \nGlenfiddich 30yr – Blue Label \nThis is the older version of the 30yr from the ’90s presented to the poets at the 2014 LASC Burns Supper that was so good that by the end of the night\, the poems were all about this bottle.  Epic. \nGlenfiddich Cask Sample \nThis unofficial cask sample is from Allan Roth’s collection.  Only he knows what it is. \n  \nCORE RANGE BOTTLES (as described on their website) \nGlenfiddich 14yr \nThink a bourbon heart can’t hold a single malt soul? Our 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve delivers the smooth sophistication of Scotland with the sweet kick of Kentucky. \nOur Malt Master\, Brian Kinsman\, waits 14 years as the whisky matures in ex-bourbon American Oak casks. He then finishes the whisky in charred new American Oak barrels supplied by The Kelvin Cooperage in Louisville\, Kentucky. \nThe result is a rich\, sweet and vibrant single malt that delivers complex flavours of woody spices with ripe summer fruit. It’s an expression that will inspire Scotch and bourbon lovers alike\, to Rethink Whisky. SUMMARY:Breaking Out
DESCRIPTION:  \nThis will be good fun! Our whisky is breaking out of the lock down\, so let’s help it escape. The Glenlivet’s Founder’s Reserve is a delightful aperitif-style dram. Hailing from just up the road\, Tamdhu is the Speyside delegate in MacLeod’s regional single malt range… it’s a sherry bomb! Ex-patriot Steve Lipp (now living in 90210) bottles Highland Queen 15-Yr for Total Wine. He won’t say what it is; I’m guessing it’s Tomatin. Billy Walker’s GlenAllachie distillery has been winning most of the major awards the past 2 years… you will discover the reason when you taste his 18-year single malt. Our second MacLeod elixir is the famed Smokehead which is from the Island region rather than from Islay (it’s likely Ledaig from Tobermory distillery on Mull). Ardbeg Drum is a 52% ABV release by The Ardbeg Committee. \nWe hope to see you at Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock… and do bring a friend as “good whisky is made great when shared among friends.”  Sláinte! \n
